Meet CSEF Board Member Brenda Stephens
If you don’t already know Brenda, then you should make a point of getting to know her. Brenda is a dynamic package of intellect and energy. Her heart is as big as Texas and her community involvement is unsurpassed. A CSEF Board Member since 2008, Brenda serves as Foundation Board Secretary and has held that position for three terms. Brenda’s penchant for organization and getting things done serves the CSEF very well.
Her China Spring ISD involvement includes being a Parent Volunteer, a member of the 2006 Bond Election Committee, PTA President 2004-2005, PTA 1 VP 2003-2004, and Electric Blues Booster Club President 2010-2012, just to mention a few. She is also a Junior League of Waco member (1991 to present sustainer), National Charity League (mother/daughter philanthropy organization) 2007 to present, American Cancer Society – Cattle Baron’s Ball/Relay for Life -1998 to present. She is also a very active member of First United Methodist Church of Waco.
Brenda’s education merits include a BA from Southern Methodist University, Teaching Certification from Texas Wesleyan University, Academic Language Therapy Certification from Southern Methodist University, and a Masters of Science in Education from Baylor University.
Brenda and her husband, John, are an exemplary example of a loving family. Their oldest son, Ben, a China Spring graduate, is a sophomore at the University of Texas. Their daughter, Emily, is a China Spring Senior, and their youngest child, Mark, is a 6th grader at China Spring Intermediate School.
